March 28, 2018. At the BIP Luncheon, the speaker was Michelle Young, Exec. Vice President of Government Affairs for the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. All of Michelle’s work for the Chamber deals with working with local, county, state and federal government on governmental issues impacting the Chamber’s member businesses. She touched on issues such as tax reform and tariffs. She also talked about the impact of Congressman Dent’s decision not to seek re-election this year. Michelle mentioned redistricting and the positive outcome for the Lehigh Valley of having one Congressman for the whole Valley.
