2017 booster award

Jeff Kicska

﷯Growing up in Palmer has a way to build a web of support and attention to service that many other communities wish they had. We present the 2017 Booster Award this evening to a man who represents Palmer Township in many different ways. Jeff Kiscka is a lifelong resident, a business owner, a BIP member, an organizer of a successful fundraiser, a Rotarian and a member of Palmer’s Planning Commission.

Jeff opened his full-service sign business with a storefront at the 25th Street Shopping Center in September of 2009 after running it out of his home to get it started. He makes signs for every need: vehicle graphics, banners, yard signs, custom building signs and much more. In 2014, he moved to his current location which is right across the street.

Jeff joined BIP in 2009 and quickly became involved in many of our events. He became our President from 2013 to 2015 and still serves on our Board. In 2012, Jeff presented the idea to run a 5K during the annual Palmer Community Weekend, and donate the money that would be raised. The success of this 5K is solely attributed to Jeff and his hard work, with an accumulated amount of over $30,000.00 which has been donated to the Miracle League of Northampton County. Some of those funds have also supported other BIP projects, including the 10 dog bag stations spaced along the bike path in Palmer.

Jeff is a Rotarian with the Morning Star Rotary since 2007 and served on its board for many years. He has been the Race Director of the Clubs Celtic Classic 5K & 10K for 3 years.

Jeff gives back to Palmer Township as a member of the Planning Commission. He also volunteers as ski patrol at Blue Mountain Ski Resort since 2010.

His wife Mary shared a little fact about Jeff. When they got engaged, they had to decide between living in New Jersey where Mary spent her entire life or living in Palmer Township where Jeff spent his entire life. After seeing how dedicated he was to this area, Mary moved to Palmer.

BIP Congratulates Jeff as our 2017 Booster Award recipient. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed!
